2003 Blazer won't start
There are times my Blazer will not start. It does not even try. Just dead silence. Then it will start no problem. Runs good. I took it to the garage, they didn't find anything. They replaced the battery. Went 3 months till it happened again. It usually would start after a couple of seconds. But last night I had to wait 10 minutes before it decided to start. The security system is ruled out. But there is one other thing that came to mind. Last night, I drove through rainy condition a couple hour before. Other time I recall, it happened on a morning with dew, and other rainy nights. I can't recall if it was some moisture involved othertimes. Could that be a possiblility? Would anybody have any idea?
I had my vehicle in for a service job today and I had the mechanic check on the starter issue. It worked fine for him this time as it did for me in the last two weeks. This time they did the voltage check. He told me the lowest it came down to was 9 volts. However, he didn't go as far as saying replace the starter.
Does anyon know how far down voltage can go on a starter. My have ome down to 9 volts. Is that too far? Sometime I have my lights flicker a little when the engine is idling. Could that reresent a problem?
