Question 2004 Blazer heater ****/dial replacement part

Just in case if need a picture of the controls without the 3rd ****/dial
Quick question about replacing the heater ****/dial on my 2004 blazer LS 4 door 4 wheel drive. My heater control ****/dial that controls vent and ac just broke on me during my drive to the store. That is the 3rd ****/dial on a set of 3 controls and its the one to the very far right. I would like to know if this replacement part from amazon will work for me and what is the best way to make sure my replacement part will work and not come out. Do you I just put the new part back on make sure its nice and tight or do I need to take apart the dash to fix this. My automotive knowledge is very limited and I just wanted to make sure I am taking the correct steps to make its done right. Or I should I just call my local good year and have them work it on this problem. As you can seen in the second picture the ****/dial has a broke plastic piece below the blue tab.

Amazon link for the replacement part is below

Before you buy another ****, you might try gluing the broken part back in place and then putting a small zip tie around the female part to reinforce it. This is what I did for a small space heater.
