2005 chev blazer trans question
Hi
Fluid no smell
changed regularly, 90, 000 km since last rebuild
coming home on highway, up a decent hill, 3500 rpm for 13 seconds or so climbing a solid 120km/hr .
then start to go down hill, notice it is not shifting or doing something to lower rpm
end up doing 95 km at 2800 rpm.. what the heck? like i lost over drive or 4th or something?
i end up in city, then take a drive around and 1-2 is a major late shift where I have to let off gas for it to shift to second , usually up in the 3000-4000 rpm.
call trans shop, they are like tech has to drive but might need shift kit that could address it for $500. if it doesn't then the $500 goes towards rebuild cost of $2800

no , fluid wasn't super low. yes external cooler.
i went to drive it to trans shop so he could test drive it and guess what? whole thing died, fuel pump went at 212, 000 - no surprise just bad luck really.
so has anyone ever done a shift kit or heard of this issue. i don't mind changing fluid myself and filter (doubt this it).
don't mind changing parts out if I don't have to drop valve body to do it. let me know. simple servo?
any help is appreciated. all i can think of is put pump in myself and then sell mentioning the transmission advise I've gotten for hopefully $1000 ?
