Default 265/70/15?

Hi everybody!

I'm new in this forum. I've just got a '97 Jimmy SLT (pics later) and I want to begin a project with it. So, I wanna ask you, the New BFG Rugged Terrain 265/70/15 tire fit on my stock rims?, if YES, is there any problem if my Jimmy is unlifted? or they are going to rub?

I know my stock tires are 235/75, but I want something bigger!!

Thanks!

I dont know if id run 255's on the 15x7 rims. i ran 1 255 on the rear and it didnt look right, and im sure that rim really needed that extra inch or 2. I dont know how safe it is either.

Being as the OP posted 265's rather than 255's, I'll say you are perfectly fine running those on a 7" wide rim. So will 255's.

Will lifting be required? I don't know. 255/70's are the same diameter as 235/75's. 265/70's will be a little bit taller and wider. Depending on how much clearance you have with the stock tires you may be able to get by with no problems.

With 255's you shouldn't have any problems.
