Default 3rd member Will it fit?

Will the differential (3rd member) from a '99 with disc brakes fit a '95 chassis with drum brakes? Will brake fluid proportioning be correct or do I need to move the ABS module with associated plumbing also? Both are 4wd and gear ratio is the same.

I did this swap about 2 years ago and it was a direct bolt in provided you have the parking brake cables for the disc brake differential.

If you are replacing the rear end I would suggest looking for one with a G80, especially if that is what you already have.

I'll second what jck1961 and Tajohns34 said. I swapped a 2001 axle with disc brakes into my 96, replacing the axle with drums. Was a direct swap, only had to bleed brakes and replace the park-brake cable, and if you can find it, having the G80 is better than an open diff.

I have a 2000 so mine came with rear discs, and I still want to swap it for one with a G80.

I did it the hard way. I swapped in a G80 Diff into my drum brake axle, than I converted my drum brakes to rear disc from a 2000 bravado. It was a lot of work especially since I had to install and set up a new Ring & Pinion gear. My disc brakes came off a 4WD Bravada into my 89 S15 2WD Jimmy so I have the forward mounted calipers vice the rear mounted calipers. Along with the front dual piston calipers my car stops fantastic.
