Default 4.3L Fuel Lines info

I have a 96 4dr Blazer LT 4.3L and need to know about fuel line removal at the back of the LIM by the firewall. The fuel lines each have 2 nuts, one for holding the connection still (on the bracket) and one for turning to loosen the connection.

Is there a simple tool to get at these connections for removing? Could I use a couple of stubby wrenches and what sizes would I need? I have one set of fuel line rings from a Fel-Pro MS980002T LIM gasket kit, do these fit right in or are there any other washers that I would need to retain from the existing connection?

Default Yes the stubbies work best

If my memory serves me it is a 16mm that rotates and a 15mm that is stationary. The o rings is all you need. They go on the lines then in.

Do yourself a HUGE favor: Using a socket & ratchet on the crankshaft bolt, manually rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the distributor rotor is aligned with the "6" on the distributor housing BEFORE you remove the distributor. Then, DON'T bump the starter or move the crankshaft until the distributor is reinstalled back in the engine.

Default Oops

Now that is almost as funny as the response to the fart noise coming from the vents posting.

I always take the distributor out, it makes getting at the lines a whole bunch easier.

Default 1996 blazer fuel line removal

My 1996 uses a 5/8" for the small nut on the line and a 3/4" nut fixed to the mount at the back of the LIM, by the firewall. I purchased a set of SAE stubby wrenches that had both sizes for $20 at AA.
