4 wheel drive

Default 4 wheel drive

ok i go to put it in 4 wheel drive and i get a clunk that i can hear and feel, then like a tick tick tick then all is quite and its in 4 wheel drive and i get the same clunk taking it out of 4 wheel drive any ideas?

Unless this noise is quite loud or violent, it sounds like the respective parts are working...

well sometimes the clunk can be really loud, almost like something hit the bottom of the blazer. and other times it is perfectly fine with going into 4 wheel. i thought they were suppose to be quite not loud when engaging it.
