Default 4 wheel drive problem

so i have a 2001 blazer and it runs great other than the fact my 4 wheel drive is messed up. i would love to take it mudding but if i push the button to go into 4wd it goes into it just fine but going back to 2wd it makes 3 clicks then stays in 4wd like its stuck. if someone maybe knows whats wrong please help.

How many buttons do you have on your dash switch?

Three buttons means you have the NV233 transfer case. I would check for codes stored in the TCCM:
OBD2 NV233 Diagnostics

Also, have a look down through this thread:
NV233 No Mode Switch (ie. 2HI to 4HI)

Default 4 wheel drive problem

so i did most of the things you told me to do but the problem still persists. i dont think it has anything to do with the electrical parts of the 4wd, i think the actual problem is in the transfer case motor itself. when i turn my blazer on and start off in 2hi ill press 4hi and itll go into is fine. but as i have noticed when i go back to 2hi the motor clicks 3 times under the car then stays in 4hi, same with 4lo but only sometimes. if you think it is the motor itself then please tell me where i can get a new one for a fairly decent price.
