2 yrs ago when my blazer was in the shop for some work, the mechanic pulled out a cable that was all twisted and mangled. He informed me it was the cable that engaged /dis-engaged the 4 whl drive. I live in NC and he said my truck would fine w/o it - and it is - runs great!
My blazer is at the age where things are starting to need to be replaced so i want fix what needs to be fixed.
Anyone know about this cable? Where i can buy one? Price? iS IT HARD TO INSTALL?
thnx

dealer carries the cable and they are not that bad to change out. remove battery and tray to access the canister.

Quite easy to change out. The cable should be available at most autoparts stores as well.
