I am having trouble getting my '97 4x4 to get into 4-wheel. ive read alot of people having the problem where the light flashes for 4 wheel then goes back into 2. however with mine the controller is just dead. Im assuming there is just some corrostion somewhere that needs to be found. there is no engine light on so i doubt it is putting out any code. Also, my dash lights are on when my lights are off, and off when the lights are on. This problem happened at the same time so i assume the two connected somewhere. Any leads into what the problem may be?

did you check the tcase fuse??? i would check that first, actually,go through youfuse panel and check every fuse, meaning, pull it out and verify that the fuse is not blown. then let us know what you found

Im really eating my foot on this one. The fuse pops everytime i turn on my headlights. Pinched ground maybe in the headlamps switch or could it be anywhere on that circuit?
