Default 4X4 Help

Ok Here is the deal I got in the blazer today after about 2 feet of snow feel on the ground to drive around. I pressed the 4HI button and light went out on 2HI and nothing else light up at all for about 5 minutes then the 4HI light came on then while driving I tryed to put it in 2HI again and nothing happend at all pressed it lots of times. Then while I was parked and inneutral I pressed 2HI and it clicked and went into 2HI then I tryed pressing 4HI again booth 4HI and 4LO blinked and went back into 2HI after doing this about 10 times it stayed in 4HI. Also when I shut off the blazer and start it again it stays in 4HI but wont shift at all while driving any ideas at all??

Thank You

Could you supply some vehicle info...year etc..

Normally when the buttons blink and then return to the original button, that means that the encoder motor could not complete the shift in the transfer case
