hey guys, I have a 2000 S10 blazer and am having problems switching from 2hi. the light is on in 2hi on the switch but when you try to put it 4hi, 4auto or 4lo it just does'nt do anything at all? I have checked the fuse inside the truck, also the relay fuse under the hood. both were good? I appreciate any advise you can offer. thanks in advance.

they did have issues with the dash switch-there are threads on this site you can find in regards to this. Search...good luck. JP PS they also had issues with encoder motors, TCCM's, transfer case switched, servos, fr. diff. cables, t/cases, fr. differential, grounds, plugs and you get it but check out that dash switch as you command it.

I dont hear anything when I hit the 4hi button. the light stays in 2hi no matter what button I push. there is no sign of the switch trying to get anything to go? is this the same symptoms you were encountering? thanks for your help

On my 2001, there's a vacuum line on the firewall, directly above the distributor, that had broken off(we changed the tranny last spring, I'm sure that's when it happened). Good place for you to check.
