Default 4x4 not working

ok i made a big mistake, i flat towed my blazer about 7 miles at about 25 miles an hour, i never unlocked the 4x4 to nuetral, I never heard no noise or anything i was told it shouldnt hurt it. now my 4x4 dosnt work. i push the 4 hi button and it just flashes and dont lock in. does anyone know if its just electrical or is it completely shot? idk if i can reset something or what. i would appreciate any help. thanks

7 miles @ 25mph shouldn't have done anything to the transfer case.

How many buttons do you have on the 4wd switch? This will determine what direction needs to be taken to diagnose your problem.

4-button is the NV236. I would start by checking all of the connections at the switch, TCCM, and encoder motor for corrosion and cleaning as necessary. While you have the switch out, check the resistance values for each button (search for "NV236+resistance" with an author of "swartlkk" for the values).

Switch is the thing in the dash that you push.
TCCM is behind the passenger side kick panel.
Encoder motor is on the side of the transfer case.

The above is found in just about every thread concerning 4wd problems. The search function is your friend!
