I am new to the forum business and need some assistance. I inherited a 1995 Blazer LT 4.3 L Vortec. Recently driving down the road it lost power and rev'd a couple of times and then died. At this time it turns over and will not start with out a little ether assistance. Once started it runs for a minute then shuts off.

My Uncle replaced my fuel filter, we can hear the fuel pump run before turning it over. We have seen else where on the net about fuel in the oil but this is not the case with mine. It looks like we have spark to coil pack, fuel up to the schrader valve at the back of the head but no bang bang to get it to run.

Any suggestions or help would be great.

 

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem, pretty common issue on these vehicles. Most auto parts stores rent/loan & sell fuel pressure testers. When you have one, let us know and we can help you diagnose the problem.
