what type of rear hatch do you have? Drop gate or lift gate?

Mine is the lift glass then drop tail gate, I thought all the blazers was like that I didn't know they had the full hatch in those years, I have owned 3 blazers a 92, 94 and this one a 95 and all 3 squeaked bad on the back glass hatch, I thought about replacing the glass seal and the tail gate seal and see if that helped but I didn't know so I asked on here 1st to see what others did to stop it from squeaking

On mine, I put some material behind those rubber bump stops that the gate rests against when its closed to keep it snug. Then I took the handle/latch off the glass and put some foam rubber material between it and the glass, then reinstalled it. Haven't heard from it since.

I have a lift gate model and noticed that the hinge pins for the glass when moved so that the heads are against the hinge the squeakiness is reduced. For some reason to work out. I should probably try to keep them in place with zip-ties around the pins.

I'll post a pic on what helps on mine. Just ran out of black tape the last time it needed some attention.
A bit of grease on the locking "U" and the centering finger also helps.
