If something needs replaced it may well be the eletronics right in front of it. Used to be called an egr vacuum solonoid, but cant remember if name changed.

This is where I would start. I'll try to post more info tonight when I have more time.

thankyou for all the help.i will be doing a check on all the components mentioned in the threads given.i appreciate all the time and knowledge given to my problem.i hope to return with some good news.i will check back in a couple of days.
