95 Blazer troubles

I went yesterday and exchanged the cap and rotor for new ones. I also bought a crankshaft sensor and if that doesn't work, I'll pick a distributor after work.

The crankshaft sensor did the trick!!!! She is up and running.
My brother in law said she stalled on him after he drove around for about 20 min. He was slowing down to turn into the driveway and the engine died. Anyone have any ideas on the cause this?

As of today
I'm
in the exact same position! Just changed head gaskets, ground wires broke, caped and taped them! Didn't
have a spark but late last night I got one after resetting
the timing for the third time, still no start and dead battery! I think it didn't
start because the the engine was flooded! Gonna try again
today.

same thing
Sounds like the same thing that happened to me. I have it a shop rite now. They said it was fixed Friday. They said that some wiring harness wasn't plugged in rite. They also said that it didn't match up rite. Friday after work I picked it up. It made it aprox 5 miles to the middle of nowhere and the RPMs went to 2500 and when I went up the second hill the RPMs climbed and I was slowing down. I thought the tranny was just low on fluid but then the engine died. It didn't crank worth a **** and wouldn't start. So back on a tow truck and back to the shop. If you figure it out let me know. I will also keep you informed on mine.
