Default 95 engine compatibility ?

i have a 95 blazer with no motor but 3 vortecs laying around and was wondering if any of them are a straight swap or would require minimal hassle to work. this would be my first engine swap and would prefer not to get too far over my head .

93 bravada

94 bravada

and an engine out of a 96 blazer.

any advice or links to info would be much appreciated

thanks!

The 96 engine won't work without serious modifications.

The 93 & 94 engines may work, but it depends on what ignition & computer system your truck was originally equiped with. The full OBD1 setup would be able to use the 93 & 94 engines as they are. But I believe that the OBD1.5 & OBD2 setups had the enhanced ignition system which required a crank position sensor. The CKP required a different timing cover and the presence of a reluctor ring on the crank.

Well I guess the next step is figuring out which variation I have. Wish it was a 96 I have all those components setting on a twisted frame lol

it appears i have either the obd2 or obd1.5 judging by the obd2 shaped dash plug.

is it possible to essentially convert the 95 to a 96 using the wiring , engine tranni etc off of my totaled 96 ? im more of a fan of the later vortec but budget demands if i want a blazer any time soon it has to come from the 4 junkers i have laying around.
