Default 95 S10 Blazer 4.3 Fuel Mileage

Hello all! I have yet another question about my blazer, lately it seems that the fuel mileage has declined alot. I drive about 84 miles a day round trip and used to get better fuel mileage. Any ideas from you pros out there on what to troubleshoot. I have recently done everything to the cooling system, which all the info came from you, thanks, and so far so good. But now your ideas are requested to maximize my fuel mileage. I can tell you that it seems that everytime I fill it, i get a strong smell of fumes inside the cab? I believe my exhaust needs replaced, but not sure. Thanks in advance.

Standard info needed. How long since a complete tune-up and change of fuel filter? These are basic to good mileage.

if you got a flume smell, poor mpgs, rough idle, then you need your spider injectors replace. have your spider injectors looked at. i just got mine done

There are many things other than a faulty injector assembly that can cause a fuel (flume?) smell, etc. Let's wait for more info before recommending such a drastic move.

of course there other things than i the injectors that cold be the problem of mpgs but you can tell if the injectors are bad if you look down in an it clean.

my 95 blazer had no check engine light on. it was just poor mpgs, rough idle and smell. Seafoam works really good. go to the parts store and an get the parts your self bu make sure you get the nylon hoses and the gaskets too. and have ur friend replace the spider injectors and u'll get better mpgs
