Default 96 blazer interior lights wont go off

i have a 96 chevy blazer which has been sitting in my garage for about 6 months now. when i went out to get it running for the summer the battery was dead , so i charged the battery , and now the lights under the dash wont turn off. i have played with every switch, and also the buttons the doors push when closing and i cant figure out why they wont go off. i was thinking my brother might have put fuses in the wronge spots because we lost the fuse box cover. so if anyone can help me figure this out please do.
also if you could send a picture of a 96 blazer fusebox cover that would be great too. thanks.

On the right side of the exterior lamp control is a slider for the instrument brightness. If it is moved over the upper position, it switches the interior lights on. Try to move it down.
If this is not working try the dome override button under the exterior lamp control. You can switch the lights off here but the problem might be in an automatic lock. - I had the same problem with the rear gate lock (was also shown as "gate ajar" in the instruments).

hope that helps - greets

yes i have tried the switches im not exactly sure where the dome override button is though. but i forgot to mention when i attached the battery charger to the blazer, the aftermarket automatic door locks whent berzerk. there was a buzzing sound that sounded like the buzzing of the battery charger coming from the doors, but much louder. i solved that problem by simply locking and unlocking the passenger door. but maybe that has something to do with the lights?

I know that only from the built-in auto lock of the rear gate but I can imagine that the aftermarket door locks are connected to the interior lights, too.
Maybe this was the reason for the empty battery after 6 months?

Each door has a switch in it. If you run a search on this, you will find the trouble shooting steps. They can be lengthy.
