Default 96 fuel pressure help

I have fuel pressure problem. It loses pressure when it sits for a couple hours. I have looked for leaks none. I thought it was check valve fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago. Bought a fuel pressure regulator but don't know where it is or how to replace. I think is under the thottle body but there are 2 fuel lines going in and recteangular wire block that won't come loose. What I do to get it started is run the fuel pump with the key to on and off and back on 7 times to get pressure up then it starts.Any help with this problem or telling me I'm fishing the problem would be greatly appericated. Steve

You have tto pull the upper plenum to get at the FPR. It sits in the middle and costs about $50.00. When you get to it post back and I can give you some tips so you only have to do it once.

Completly work through the steps in this post - 96+ Fuel System Diagnosis - and you will trace down the source of the problem. Beats throwing parts at it.
