96 LS 4x4 ecm resets every time I turn engine off. I cant find the reason and cant get an inspection. Please Help! The blazer was sitting for a year or so because my friend I bought it from got his wife a new car. he has never had any trouble with it. It drives and runs great, good millage too.Thanks

 

i dont have a answer for that exact question but you can try driving your car for a very long distance then take it directly to get tested. ive worked on cars where we just had to drive them like 15 miles on the highway and all the monitors would reset.

dont go making a special trip or anything but next time you have to go somewhere far just keep the truck running and go to the emissions place afterwords, tell them at the place you cant shut it off due the neutral safety switch being bad and might not start or some other bs
