Default 97 blazer have a rag joint??

Hi i'm new to the forum. Ihave a 97 blazer and have the (seems to be)standard sloppy steering?I'm leaning towards a possible rag joint failure(if there is one)I went to advanced auto parts and searched steering parts for a 96 blazer and you can buy a rag joint for that.My question is if they are both 2nd gen would the rag joint for the 96 fit on the 97?

Default RE: 97 blazer have a rag joint??

There is a "rag" joint and I believe the technical part name is the intermediate shaft coupling.
Before you replace that, I would suggest doing a thorough front suspension check of the ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm and tie rod ends.
