I have a 97 blazer 4x4 and it started acting up the otherday.the lights started blinking like a short and the gauges started to jump back and forth.then the brakes got spongy.then it started acting like it was jumping gears.dropping from overdrive to 1 and 2 gear.the brakes when you push them it sounds like a spring pulling tight.it sounds bad.please help if yall have any idea

Well it sounded like a ground problem until the brakes issue. Is the alternator still operating? I know the 4L60E transmission is electronically controlled and if the alternator has failed it can affect that.
