Default Space under roof rack

I am interested in placing some instrumentation up under the ceiling lining with antenna cabling coming up and out somehow from where the roof rack is. Possibly even fed through the roof rack itself if it will allow it. I can always use some silicon sealent to keep any rain or other weather inside.
So Has anyone ever been up inside that area and can you tell me about how much room there is in that area? Is there any area up inside of there that should be stayed AWAY from for any reasons? I would like to be able to have access but then be able to button it all back up with out it looking like crap or not going back together well enough to still look clean and all hacked up..
Thanks...

Default RE: Space under roof rack

Haven't been up in there yet myself. However an option would be go to a local salvage yard and rip the liner out.
