My blazer, from a dead stop, has recently been hitting 3200 rpm before it shifts then it hits 2700 before it shifts again. I have heard that once you mess with the transmission on the 97 model it never works right again, something about the gasket never lining up properly once it is broken. I don't know if that is a bunch of BS but for that reason I have never had it looked at. Has anyone had this problem and is it fixable without spending a ton of $$$? Thanks. Bootlegger
