Default 97 Blazer---Where is the knock sensor?

I have a 97 Blazer with a code showing for the knock sensor. My Haynes manual says under each exhaust manifold. Chevy house tells me behind the distributor. I don't see it either place. Does anyone know??????
Thanks

Default RE: 97 Blazer---Where is the knock sensor?

According to AllDataDIY.com, the knock sensor is below the distributor on the drivers side of the engine bellhousing. The proceedure for removal/replacement calls for a whole bunch of stuff to be removed (distributor completely removed, oil pressure sending unit, etc). I don't think that it is completely necessary to remove them, but, not ever having done it, I don't know.
