Default 98 blazer 4wd front end

Just bought a 98 blazer 4wd. I took it in for alignment and tires and was told both lower ball joints, idler arm and pitman arm were bad. Repair bill was going to be 870.00. Anything special I need to know before I start the repair myself. Thanks in advance, Dave

only get moog or timkyn parts. Search youtube for info. Best way for pitman is to take the steering box out with it on then remove it

Thanks for the input. I replaced upper and lower ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, sway bar end links, all four shocks and rear spring hangers and bushing.(rusted) In for an alignment today. Great forum, lots of good info.
