Default 98 blazer "kicking" while starting to accelerate?

Hello, I've noticed this a few times, it comes and goes really.

It usually happens if I haven't driven it for about 2 days or more. I'll start to accelerate, and you can feel the car not having a clean acceleration, meaning it feels like its dragging and kicking. However, once I get it up past say 2500 rpm or so, it settles down. And after driving for a few miles, it stops happening altogether.

It's going in the garage Monday for an oil change and tune-up, so I'd like to know what I should ask to have them check this? I'm making an almost 200 mile trip on Tuesday, would like to know if I'll make it haha.

Thanks for any and all replies!

Get them to do fuel pressure tests STATIC and DYNAMIC. That's the MOST important thing fuel injected car.

Since they probably don't know how to do it right, buy a fuel pressure guage, and do it yourself.

Post back on it...

Hey guys, finally getting back to posting here:

Mechanic brought up a good point. It only does this when its raining out. He recommended getting wires replaced. I think he was talking about the ignition wires right? What's all involved in replacing these?

You should probably do a full tune up consisting of spark plugs, plug wires, cap, and rotor. This isn't too difficult, however it can be a challenge to get at the #3 spark plug and the wire clips around the back of the valve covers can be challenging.
