sorry if there is already a thread on this, but I have a 98 chevy blazer 4wd and I have noticed that after I drive the truck for a while I don't feel like the truck has as much get up and go power as it did when the truck temp was colder. It never goes past the 210 mark on the temp gauge.Could this just be as simple as putting more cold air into the intake or do you guys think that it could be something else? Also I am only getting about 207 miles to my tank (thats running it till my yellow light pops on) is that about normal?

cold air will always help the motor. give it a try. im a big fan of holes in the side of the factory air box, onthe side closest to the front/side. as long as you drill holes so that whatever air comes in goes through the filter still, you're good

I'd agree with what has been said about cold air intakes so far.
As far as your mileage per tank, you might have quite a bit of gas left. Find out what size tank you have--I think it's in your owner's manual. Once the light comes on, fill up right away and find out how much you actually had left in your tank. On mine, the light comes on when I have just over 4 gallons left. Even at my crappy gas mileage that's over 60 miles more to go.
You ask if that's normal? I don't think there is such a thing as normal. Mileage varies depending on ambient temperature, 2wd or 4wd, 2 door or 4 door, driving style, city or highway driving, how hard you drive it, hills or flat, etc...

i was just asking because i was reading people getting 250 or so miles on their tank and I barely reach 220 with pushing it through my low fuel light. it usually is around 14.5 gallons for me to fill up. and with the cold air intake as I asked earlier can i make my own piping by just going lower in front of the mass air flow sensor? and if so how far down can I go?

but if you have a 17 gallon tank, that's still 2.5 gallons which at 16 mpg is 40 miles left on the tank. So 220 + 40 = 260 miles per tank. And your tank might be larger than 17 gallons... I think the 2dr has a larger tank than my 4dr. is yours a 2dr or 4dr? I'm just saying, it might not be as bad as you think.
Yeah, you can make your own cold air intake. you can go as far down as there is room for it. you should remove the stock air box and use whatever room you have. you'd get better results from using a heat shield. I'd look at a pre-fab kit to get some ideas on how to go with it. If you need pictures of mine, let me know and I'll try to snap a few for ya.
