That's good StokedStephen. Does anyone know if there is a relay for the blower motor itself on this type HVAC setup with ACC? Im still having problems. I thought about hooking up a dimmer switch and bypassing the control itself, for a temporary fix.

 

I finally found my problem, it was the ground wire. Follow all of the wires and make sure that they are good. Myou ground wire was getting super hot.

About the relays. Yes, there is a blower motor relay. It is the one on the left side of the set of 3 - 4 relays on the firewall. It's right behind the transmission dip stick, if your engine is the same as mine. An easy way to check if it is working is to switch the ac relay with the blower relay, that will prevent you from spending more money if it turns out being something else.

 

Which ground wire was it? I do not have any relays on the firewall just in the fuse box under the hood. Thanks for the input, as you can see I'm still having problems. Thanks StokedStephen!!

 

There should be one plug on the blower motor. Mine has a purple wire and a black wire. The black is the ground. I just cut it and spliced in a new ground, mounting it on the firewall.
That is strange that you don't have any relays. There should definitely be relays somewhere... Try following the purple wire going to the blower motor back to where it comes from, that should lead you to the relay.

thanks for the quick reply!! My truck has the blower motor resistor/relay next to the blower fan mounted next to it. It has the Automatic Climate control and that resistor is like $180 which I replaced like in the pic with W/C42. But I will try anything right now. Thanks StokedStephen. I will try that tonight if it quits raining.

 

Ok guys,this afternoon I replaced the ignition switch harness. After that I started the truck and I still don't have any blower fan. As I stated I already put a new blower motor,resistor, and control module on and now a harness. Any suggestions?

 

did you ever find a solution for this? I'm in the same boat. Replaced blower CM and Blower motor still no blower. I have the auto climate control

 

I did find a solution. The actual blower fuse underneath the hood in the fuse box had a burnt terminal only allowing 3-3.5 volts out to the blower motor. On my Bravada it's a orange wire either a 12-10 gauge wire. What I did was I spliced in to my rear defroster wire( the same size wire and fuse) with a heavy gauge insulated wire connector. You will have to remove the fuse box and battery leads by the air filter, flip it over and trace down what wire it is that goes from the fuse box to the blower motor. Like I said mine was Orange and ran underneath the cowl in a wire loom harness. Checked my voltage and I had 14.5 now to the motor and works flawlessly. If I need the rear defroster on, I just turn my fan off and and run the defroster that way I wouldn't overload the circuit.
