Default 98 chevy blazer driver side power lock

My driver side power door lock will unlock but not lock using the button. I can hear it engaging when I hit the button to lock it, but it just does not work. Any suggestion before I change out the actuator?

Any excessive friction in the connector rods?

Default Fixed

The actuator itself was broke in half fun fix but cant finish because it's starting to rain. Bought 1 at a junkyard for 5 bucks. The ole blazer is coming together

My new blazer is doing this too. Thanks for making the job easier for me!

My actuator is doing the same thing but I can't figure out how to get to it. Can you post a "how to"? Maybe with pics or a video?

The easiest thing for me was taking the window track out then taking power lock actuator out. I just winged it for the most part couldn't find a YouTube video anywhere. I dont know how to post videos and pictures.

How was the actuator attached to the door?
