Default Power Door lock issue

Car- 1995 GMC JIMMY
4x4 auto
4 DOOR

So I just recently bought this JIMMY and have had it for about 5 days.
I am having an issue with my power door locks.

here is the issue- When I use the power lock button to lock the doors from inside the car I can not unlock them using the unlock button.

Now if I use the lock button to lock the car before I leave I will be locked out. But if I lock the rest of the doors with the switch I have to unlcok mine manually and then use the key to lock the door, it's a big hassle.

Any ideas what could be wrong? anyone else have this issue?

So you can't even unlock the door with the key from the outside after you lock it with the lock button inside the truck?

That doesn't make a lot of sense unless the driver door lock actuator is continuously locking the door. Maybe the driver door lock switch is bad and is latching onto the lock circuit.
