98 LT 4WD Issues
Got the proper fluid and changed it out - still no change, front drive shaft is still slipping in the transfer case.
A second hand transer case over here is gonna set me back $2000 (about $1000us at the moment)
What are they worth over there, see some on ebay for around $150?
I have a supplier who ships out containers of printing stuff from the US now and then and might look at bringing one over that way, they are in Wake Forest, NC 27588
Anyone around there with a spare transfer case? - that would be too easy!

don't have alot of time now but...if you unhook the 'out' hose on the firewall actuator(you should have just above the dist. cap)and put a vacuum gun on/in the 'out' hose apply vacuum, this should pull in the front diff. On this style the slip shaft is always 'in' so checking whether or not the shaft is locked is fruitless on an 'auto' optioned Blazer. If the t/case is possibly working(IF) pulling the front in should lead us in one direction or another. If the 4wd does not apply-well you may have to disconnect the slip shaft so you can see which end locks-ie does the front lock when applying vacuum thus proving everything in the front-from there down is ok. Keep us posted-gotta go to work. JP
