Default 98 S10 LT 4WD with NO power to the auto HVAC control

I've got a problem with my 98 S10 Blazer LT 4wd Automatic Climate control panel. Came out one morning and no power at all, stuck on cold with no fans or temp control. No fuses blown anywhere, AC compressor was recently replaced (2 months prior) and the system recharged and worked great, but nothing else. Anyway to check these units, or are there any pressure switches I can check that might be of interest. Any links to threads with the same issues.

Thanks!
By the way, awesome forum!

Mine did exactly the same back in January. It went completely dead on me, not even the rear window defroster would work. I checked all the fuses etc but it was all OK. I replaced the control panel with a secondhand one off Ebay & it all started working again. Maybe these things are prone to failure? The panel contains all the electronics - basically it's the brains of the HVAC system. I found another guy at the time on this forum who had the same problem. The panel is pretty easy to replace if that turns out to be your problem.

Thanks Dave... just wanted to see if anyone else had the problem and had found an easier way to trouble shoot rather than just replacing the head unit.

Yeah maybe I should have had a proper diagnosis done 1st but I managed to get a secondhand unit cheap off Ebay so I just took a chance that it was that - fortunately I was right.
If you have access to someone with a scanner then maybe it's worth getting it checked out properly 1st before you buy a new unit?
I think the HVAC unit does store trouble codes but they can only be read by a Tech 2 - someone please correct me if i'm wrong.
