99 blazer 4.3,cat issue?

I replaced my cat. and o2,s (cheap cat from local auto parts store.Check engine light went away,then 2months later cat started stopping up,took old cat hollowed,runs great.?now the question i have is can i buy and aftermarket chip(jet,superchip,diablo,etc)while one or any of them allow me too boost performance,gas millage,and reprogram my ecu to remove check engine light & callabraite for none cat on vehicle????????County i live in doesn't require emmissions.Please help if any one can.

I do not know of a 'chip' for a '99. To my knowledge you would need a handheld programmer to make any changes to the PCM that controls your engine. I would doubt that there are any that would have a setting for not having a catalytic converter since they a requirement of Federal law, regardless of the county you live in. The only option I would know of would be to have your PCM itself reprogrammed for not having a cat (if possible). Your might look into wait4meperformance.com or pcmforless.com and see if they can help you.
