would it hurt if i just took the cat off the thing makes so much noise it is loud i know it is bad but i dont have the money to fix it right now so can i just cut it off and put a pipe there?

 

What do you mean by loud?

Is the heat shield loose and causeing it to rattle?

 

You do realize that you can pick up a universal cat that can be put in with pipe clamps for around $50-70 and just requires that you cut the old cat out... That would be by far easier on the wallet than having to pay later on down the road...
