Ok I did that and now I have my 12v key on for 2 seconds. Then 12v key off for 2 seconds. Had power with the prime terminal too. I am at a loss here. I have power but no pump activation. Starting to think I have a bad new pump. Guess I need to pull the pump and check the internal wiring. I think the no voltage was caused by my meter probes being a bit too big so I cut some y connectors and inserted those into the pump connector. Now I have voltage through the key. I'm sonconfused.

The prime terminal showed battery voltage for 2 seconds with initial key on? But still no noise from the pump, and no fuel pressure at the service port?

No I checked the prime terminal first. Then rechecked with the key. Power both ways.

It's either losing power somewhere from the prime terminal to the pump, or losing ground to the pump, or a bad pump. Next step is check power and ground at the pump module connector. Apply battery voltage to the pump prime terminal and check the grey wire in the pump module connector, it must show battery voltage. The ground wire must show less than 5 ohms resistance to ground. When I replace pumps, I install a 10ga wire, soldered on, from the connector to a good chassis ground. What brand pump did you install? How old is the pump? Is there a warranty on it?

Ok so I decided to add the ground at the pump. Wish I did that in the first place. Thank you for all of your help.

Well I'm dead in the water again... this time I have power but no pumping of gas... looks like a new pump in my future. Could I be missing something?
