99 blazer issues
Few issues I'm having..I've posted in the past, got a few solved. Here's what's left and a few new ones too. How can I tell if heater core is clogged or bad? I can't find a deffinate answer. When I got the vehicle you smelled the antifreeze. I also had to clean the widows (mist) put a bypass on it and its getting cold need it fixed. While I tried to work on a work around, I tried to use a power inverter and hook up a small heater to it. The cigarette lighter doesn't work now, I tried changing the fuse by driver side, wasn't blown. Changed it anyways..still doesn't work..ideas?
On dash panel, I have air bag lit up, its been solid light for about a month, yesterday it blinked.. Few to.es..once was 3 times then 5 it has been solid since. The last issue is the right turn signal is light up on dash.. I replaced all the bulbs and verified it worked...ideas? Thanks guys!!

Did you bypass it because it was overheating? Where you losing coolant?
Grab a meter and check the power inside the lighter. If it's good and the wire is still on the back of the lighter, the lighter is bad. Cheap and easy to replace.
Everyone has their own views on the airbag light issue and the safety of it. Have you messed with the steering column our ignition switch lately? Mines been on since I've owned my 98. I dont worry about . Just remember your vehicle is 15 years old and air bags only have a shelf life of around 10 years. So, don't automatically think your air bag will work even if the light wasn't on. So buckle up to be safe. Have it scanned to see if it has a airbag code. I have a scanner but no airbag code but my ignition was messed with by the previous owner.
The signal light on is a symptom of a bad bulb but you said you said they worked . I'd try and swap out the bulbs on that side.

I don't know about the fluid we did it as soon as we got it she (the lady we got it from) said she was told that. When I approved to look at it, u could smell the radiator fluid in it. As far as checking the socket..no didn't think of that but I will. I haven't touched the steering column, just poped on one day when I was driving it. Since my post of this, its been blinking a few times when u start it up I haven't stared at it but it looks like 7 times.

Ok, if the light is blinking then going off check to see if it blinks then pauses then blinks again. If so, count the blinks before the pause and after and that will give you a code.
Make sure to get it scanned also. I would think a random blinking of the light would throw a code that's stored in the computer.
