Default Abs & brake light

Well since I bought my truck ive had the ABS light on so im presuming thats probably the sensors. Now I brought my truck out the other night to break her in with the new lift and ended up getting stuck. For 1 I could not get my truck to engage into 4 high. This would be the 1st time I tried to use it, maybe I was trying to engage it wrong? 2nd when i got stuck I had to get the pulled out cause my rear tire slid off the trail and I was sitting on my bumper, now my E-brake light is on. Anyone know what may have caused this? pinched line or something to that effect.

You didn't happen to hit the e-brake lever at some point while getting your truck out did you? Have you tried pulling the e-brake lever up to see if the light shuts off?

As far as the ABS light goes, getting the ABS system scanned will be the quickest way to diagnose that issue.

With the 4wd, what did it do when you tried to engage it? Have you checked out any of the 4wd related threads in the Tech Article (DIY) Index (link provided in my signature below)?

I made sure the Ebrake lever was fully engaged. it didnt pop on until I got it unstuck so Im assuming I did something to the cable possibly. As for the 4x4 i was told to put it in neutral and push the 4 high button. when i do this and hold it both 4high and 4low will blink. thats when the 4low engages. Not to sure whats up with it, maybe a sensor or even the transfer case.

Run through the tech articles and test some things out. It could be a number of things concerning the 4wd.

As far as the e-brake light, I believe that is tied to the switch on the e-brake lever assembly... Maybe a cable was snagged and bent the assembly?

im gunna look under the truck when im outta work and see if I can find anything as far as the ebrake goes. Guy at work has a 94 and told me he has to have his in drive or be moving to get it into 4high so im gunna give that a whirl. Try the easy one first
