Default ABS kicks on towards the end of quick, no hard, stops

I noticed this last night, when coming to a somewhat quick stop, right when the weight of the vehicle leans forward for the last 2 seconds of the stop, the ABS has been kicking on. I'm not slamming on the brakes or anything, it's not wet outside. My last 98 blazer didn't do this and I'm not exactly sure what the problem could be.

The fluid is a little dark, going to change all that tomorrow, but I don't feel that is the problem. any suggestions?
