RE: abs problem
No ABS light? If not, it might come on soon. My Bonneville did the same thing with no light. Then after awhile, the light came on. Had my friend come over with a scanner and found the RF wheel sensor was bad. Same thing happened to my father-in-laws 2000 Chevy Z71 pickup.
Try and get a scanner on it. Or get a DVM and unplug each sensor and spin the wheel. Compare readings to the rest of the sensors.

RE: abs problem
i had the same thing happen to me, on my 96 Blazer AND my 02 GTP, it was the left front wheel sensor on my GTP, havent diagnosed my Blazer yet....
now if it is a bad wheel sensor, do you have to replace the whole hub, cuz that was what i had to do with my GTP.

RE: abs problem
On a 2000, you can just check the Volt-AC reading from the sensor as you spin the wheel. I just posted the TSB on this issue > Brakes - Low Speed (below 5 MPH) ABS Activation
As I noted in the preface to the TSB, this applies to front hubs of the 2nd design where the ABS sensor is bolted directly to the side of the hub assembly. For the 95-97 trucks, you may have the 1st design which sandwiches the ABS sensor between the steering upright and the hub assembly. For this case, you may be able to modify the air gap by either enlarging the holes or through some other means, but it will require the removal of the hub to do so.
