AC Compressor?

when you went to recharge your system, was it completely empty? because if it was, you have to vacuum the system first and then add the freon. you can only add freon without vacuuming the system if there already is some freon in the system.
and if the compressor is cycling on off on off that means that there isnt enough freon in there and or there is air in there or dirt. did you change you inline filter?

Where is the inline filter located?

How do you go about vacuuming the system and where is this filter? I'd love to get this working. It's 90 something degrees right now with almost 100% humidity.

you can either buy a vacuum pump from harbor freight.com for about 12.99 or ask a shop to do it. the filter im told is inline at the top of the dryer. ( that tall alumunin canister type thing where the low port is near)
check autozone or advanceauto website for the inline filter...or GM too. you can see a pic of it... let me know how it goes....

i forgot to mention you have to loosen that larger nut that hold the pipe to see it in there...filter should be in there

Thanks a lot. I'm going to call my mechanic right now and see what he'll charge me to do that.
