1995 GMC Jimmy; ran great last night, started this morning was running a bit rough like it was not getting fuel, some backfiring in the engine at least sounded like it, then slowly just quit running on the highway during go to work traffic, no change in electricals at the time or after; towed home, after work in the rain of course have fuel pump, fuel to motor, orange spark, that is as far as I got as the rain got heavier and it is too heavy to push in the garage; before I go any further any ideas? It has a new fuel pump couple of months old, new filter, new pressure regulator under the plenum, new cap, rotor; that is about it. I appreciate any thoughts, 4.3 6, auto, 4wheel drive. Oh, it has gas in it.

orange spark? thats not too good, its weak. where from? if itll start spray some water on wires and top of coil. those were known to crack coil tower and leak power, ive seen it a few times on them. was it wet out? cap bogus maybe? look and listen for a ignition leak, youll see it the dark and will make a snap noise.
