Default Air Conditioning Electrical Problem

I have a 2WD 2001 S10 Blazer LT and am having an electrical problem with the A/C. I'm getting no power on my meterto the compressor clutch to fire up the system. I've checked the fuses in the dash and engine compartment and all are good. If I manually close the A/C relay in the engine compartment with a paper clip, the A/C fires up and works great. I suspect there's some problem indash switch, but my Haynes manual provides no schematic for the HVAC system nor any break out of the dash electrical controls. Anyone have a schematic or knowledge of the system? Encountered a similar problem?

I checked the freon level, it's fine. The systems works perfectly once engaged so I'm fairly certain the problem is not with the A/C system itself, but rather the electrical.

Sounds like you have a sensor problem. Mostlikely the pressure sensor which is located at the filter/dryer (large silver canister in front of the firewall on the passenger side).
