Default Alarm Remote

To cut it short basically what happened is that I lost my alarm remote and don't have another one. Is there away to get another remote that will pick up the frequency and enable me to use another one. I'm almost positive the company that makes my alarm I have in there now is out of business so I'm not sure if it's possible that I can get another remote. Any ideas?

Well it would help if we knew the brand/model of your alarm.

Generally what you would do for any keyfob is to get the new one, and press some combination of buttons in the vehicle (this depends on the brand/model of the alarm) while pressing some combination of buttons on the keyfob, thus programming that keyfob to your specific alarm.
