Default Autolite XP plugs

Hello,

Looking to change my spark plugs, and saw some Autolite XP plugs. Searching on the topic and there is lots of old-time info of autolite only being for ford, etc., which really isnt true.

That said, it seems that there is a reason why double platinum, and perhaps the AC plugs specifically, are better in 96+ 4.3L engines. However, I have not been able to discern why. Data and Ill buy it for this situation... Id love to learn more. Any info?

Has anyone been running the Autolite XP iridium plugs in a 4.3? Any comments?

Also, the old plug number was 41-932, and I have read at rockauto that it has been superseded by 41-993. Does anyone know what the difference is? I may be able to get some of the -932 plugs quite cheap, but if there is a reason to go with the newer part number, I certainly will.

Thanks!

do yourself a favor any stick with AC/Delco's. i dont have any hard info handy, but it seems for whatever reason that our engines perform the best when AC/Delco parts are used.

I'll second that. Seems AC/Delco Platinum Plugs aren't the only way to go. Just the only way you Should go.
