new here,, and just picked up a 2001 blazer Zr2, sitting at home in the garage right now. just a couple of things i need some help with, really slow take off,, seems to have no power. and last, at start up the gas guage sticks until your on the road moving? any ideas. i know it needs a tune up,, this weekend was going to do plugs, wires, d-cap, rotor, and fual filter,, am i missing anything?

 

clean the egr and iac with some brake cleaner,im sure they are dirty. When you buy the dis cap,make sure its brass and not aluminum. For plugs keep it ngk or ac delco. Other then that you should be set.


If you still lack power,go ahead and check the fuel pressure. blazers like eating pumps etc. make sure its above 59ish at key on and hold above 55 for 10 min. if its below that report back.
