bad intake gasket and over heating

Default bad intake gasket and over heating

would a bad intake gasket cause the motor to over heat

very possible if all the antifreeze has leaked out. check that

As stated, it very well could. Water boils at a lower temperature when not under pressure. A leaking LIM gasket will cause the system pressure to bleed off if it is a bad enough leak. Without the pressure, it will boil the coolant sooner.
