My husband relpaced the intake manifold gasket and distributor cap, when we turn the key, there's only a clicking sound. We've checked the placement of the plugs, cap is in securely, battery working finem, any ideas what it could be?

 

is the coil in place? any wires pinched?

 

checked the coil. it's in place. Still won't turn over, just a clicking sound. Had timing reset as well, still same clicking sound.

 

Normally a clicking sound is the starter soleniod...check the starter...maybe give it a couple of taps with a hammer.

 

was there a ground strap from engine block/intake to firewall ?
